The Don Quixote Hostel is just a five-minute walk from the bus station, located on Rua da Lapa, No. 7, at the very entrance to Paratys Historical Centre. Rooms accommodate up to six people, and each room has its own bathroom, locker space, and ceiling fan. Rates include linens and breakfast.
Paratys Historical Centre is a quaint Portuguese colonial village, with centuries-old mansions and buildings. There is something interesting to do and see at every turn, and visitors often spend hours strolling the streets. Our location is the best in town at the very entrance to the Historical Centres main street (Rua da Lapa). Also, we are only 10 meters from the citys business district, with easy access to banks, drug stores, restaurants, stores, and other businesses. We are only 500 meters from the bus station.
Our bilingual staff can assist you with anything you need, including recommending tours and must-see spots in Paraty. Our laid-back style will make you feel at home and allow you to make friends as you become further acquainted with Brazilian culture.
We offer boat trips, ecological and adventure tours, and lots of fun. The city has numerous cultural activities and hopping nightspots. For those who love the water, we offer boat tours, scuba classes, boat rentals, etc. For those who do not care so much about water sports, there are nature walks to the waterfalls and forests that surround Paraty.
You can take a Jeep trip into the Serra da Bocaina National Park, where you will see magnificent waterfalls, cachaça distilleries, and take a walk along the Caminho do Ouro [Gold Trail], the road used during the 1600s to carry gold down from Minas Gerais for shipment to Portugal.
Guided city tours are also available, as are bicycle rentals, horseback rides, and other activities.
