The Zona Rosa located between Calles 79-85 and Carreras 11-15 and is Bogotá's best area for nightlife, dining and shopping. There are countless bars and clubs (discotecas) that appeal to a variety of different type of people with many of these being located in the “Zona T” (which is the name of a popular intersection of bars and restaurants). Whether you want to casually sip on a local beer or creative cocktail, or prefer a more upbeat, heart-thumping atmosphere or "rumba", you can find everything you are looking for in the Zona Rosa.

If you want a less crowded scene then the Zona Rosa for you eating and drinking needs, two other popular places include the Parque 93 and a student bar area near the Transmilenio stop Los Hereos. The Parque 93 is more similar to the Zona Rosa in that it is frequented by the wealthy “Rolos” (Bogotá locals) who want to wine and dine. It is a great option for couples or small groups that would like a great dinner (and most likely an expensive one) followed by a live Salsa Band or Discoteca offering “cross over” beats. The typical age of people who go out in the Parque 93 is a bit older.

A mucher cheaper option than either the Zona Rosa or the Parque 93 is a small stretch of bars located on the 2nd street parallel to the Tranmilenio Heroes Station. The bars here are small, noisy, and attract a lot of students due to the cheap price of alcohol. A bottle of Arguadiente here will cost you about $40.000 COP or about $20 USD, and possibly even come with a chaser, fruit and nuts. This is a great option to start the night out or if you just feel like drinking and talking amongst your friends rather than dancing.
